Social media is arguably the best way to reach people with public health messages. The question is which platforms to use and how to use them effectively to achieve your goals. In this presentation, Dr. Lisa Gualtieri will talk about how to plan and execute a social media campaign to increase the reach of your public health messages.

Lisa Gualtieri, Ph.D., SCM, is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, where she is the director of the Digital Health Communicationcertificate program. She teaches digital strategies for health communication and social media and health for the certificate program.

Dr. Gualtieri’s research focuses on the use of wearable activity trackers for older adults with chronic medical conditions, racial/ethnic minorities, and veterans. She is the founder of RecycleHealth, which collects unused wearable activity trackers and donates them to underserved populations. She serves on the FDA’s General Hospital and Personal Use Devices Panel. Dr. Gualtieri has a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University, an SCM in computer science from Brown University and a BA in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts.
