Call for Abstracts

Ohio SOPHE is seeking presentations for the 2024 Health Educators Institute (HEI), Advancing Health Together: Through Innovation & Partnerships. The conference theme is focused on developing skills and relationships that allow professionals to leverage people and technology to enhance program impact.

HEI seeks three types of conference sessions – poster, concurrent, and skill-building. These sessions enable professionals to share their work with attendees and offer different ways for participants to interact. 

Presentations should align with the areas of responsibility of a health education specialist, identified by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, and be applicable to a variety of disciplines, including health educators, prevention professionals, social workers, public health nurses, students, and more. Both entry-level and advanced practice continuing education sessions are desired.

A wide variety of topics are encouraged; below are some suggestions:

• Health communication
• Mental health promotion
• Organizational leadership
• Program implementation and outcomes
